National Bus Pass – County Wide Face to Face Survey
added October 19th 2011We conducted a face-to-face survey on behalf of Devon County Council amongst a random sample of bus users in Devon who were eligible for a National Bus Pass. A robust sample of 1,200 interviews was conducted during September.
The research objectives included, obtaining a set of behavioral data (comparable at a County level) with previous waves of research as well as determining where people are travelling to (location and district) or from. In addition we also looked at whether respondents would be additionally using any further connecting travel sources i.e. train, a further bus etc. The survey also looked to provide to data to help understand to what extent the respondents’ usage of the bus had changed over the past year.
We currently supply research services to DCC under a Framework Agreement and have been involved in a wide range of transport related research projects across the South West over many years. This has involved working on LTP, train, bus and cycling research projects. Using appropriate methodologies we have gathered information from the general public and stakeholders to help inform on strategic and tactical transport decisions.
